Prescription Drug Disposal Drop Box

HOW TO PROPERLY DISPOSE OF PRESCRIPTION, OVER-THE-COUNTER, AND OTHER UNUSED HOUSEHOLD MEDICATION:

In an effort to curb or reduce the abuse of prescription, over-the-counter, and other unused household medication, the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department now has a safe prescription drug disposal system to collect unwanted or expired household prescription, over-the-counter and other unused medications.

The Community Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Morris; an initiative of Morris County Prevention is Key, has provided the Parsippany Police Department with a Med Return Drug Collection Unit, located in the main lobby of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department, 3339 Route 46, Parsippany, NJ 07054.

Members of the public are able to deposit medications into the Collection Unit 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Collection Unit will accept household medications only, such as pills, capsules, patches, and pet medications. It does not accept mail, trash, syringes, or liquids. Anyone requesting additional information can contact the Community Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Morris at 973-625-1998.
